Our Under 13 Boys of Adam, Jamie and Joseph were up against the best runners in the country and after winning the Northern Championships we were hoping for a top 10 finish. Adam started them of running really well on the very tough first leg bringing the team home in 14th place out of the 75 teams taking part. His final time from what I can work out gets him inside the top 20 fastest of the day. Jamie Rhodes took over and ran really well to get the boys back inside the top 10 handing over to Joseph Close in 9th place. Joseph who has been struggling recently also ran well to hold on and finish in 11th place. Well done Joseph we know you expected to run quicker, you will be back to your best before you know it. Great effort boys ….
Lahana Vardy was running for her new club Rotherham Harriers …. Running the 2nd leg taking over in 62nd place out of the 80 teams taking part. Lahana worked her way through the field and managed to get the team back up to 46th place before the 3rd leg runner brought the team home in 41st place. Lahana was the fastest runner in her team.
Cyane Robinson also running for Rotherham Harriers in the Under 17 Girls race. Running the 3rd leg Cyane ran really strongly to bring home the team in 4th place and just missed out on a medal. Cyane final time also ranked her inside the top 20 fastest of the day.
