No. 3 performance of the year goes to Zak. After a very impressive cross country season finishing 4th in the Yorkshires, 15th in the Northern’s and 43rd at the UK Inter Counties. Zak still has this cross country season in the same age group. Zak then went on to compete at the London Mini Marathon and run a very impressive 17.21 mins for the 3 miles. The track season was just as impressive with Zak breaking all the middle distance Team Russell records that I thought would stand for a long time. Zak’s 800 metres time of 2.17.10 ranked him 16th in the England rankings for the year and his 1500 metres time of 4.37.01 was even more impressive finishing 11th in the rankings and this was the 4th fastest time in Yorkshire since 2006. Well done Zak.
