Northern Indoor Track & Field Championships – 02/02/2020

An excellent day for Under 15 Boy Ben Morton … Personal best in both the 60 metres and Long Jump where Ben Finished 4th. Both were Team Russell records. Keep working hard Ben and bring on that outdoor season.

After yesterday’s disappointment at the South Yorkshire Schools Cross Country Championships after the big fall Zak picked himself up and ran a big personal best over 800 metres to pick up a Silver medal at the North of England Indoor Championships. Well done Zak much more to come and to get ready to challenge that English Schools qualifying time this summer. Zak’s time ranks him 2nd on the England rankings for the year.

An excellent Gold medal at the Northern Indoor Championships for George in the Under 13 Boys Long Jump only 3cm shy of the championships record and more importantly beat coaches best at that age by 1 cm. George was also 4th in the 60 metres final with a big personal best. George will one day realise he is better at athletics than he is football haha. TheĀ  Long Jump personal best is ranked = 1st in the England rankings for the year and the 60 metre time ranks 13th.

An excellent silver medal at the Northern Indoor Championships for Molly in the Under 13 Girls 200 metres. Her time now ranks her 2nd in the England rankings this year. A very long and hard day having to run a heat, semi and final all in one day. Keep working hard Molly and bring on that outdoor season.

An amazing 4th place in the Northern Indoor Championships Under 15 Girls 200 metres after running three rounds in one day …. Also a time under the English Schools qualifying time. Well done Lilly keep working hard who would have thought you would have achieved this last year. This girl works so hard both at the track and at home. Bring on the outdoor season. The new personal best ranks Lilly 6th in the England rankings for the year.
