Great to see Esther racing again yesterday at the National Cross Country Relays. After struggling with injuries over the last few months we have managed to string about 3 weeks of training together at a reduce rate of around 80 percent to what Esther usually does. We thought this would be a good blast over the shorter distance to see where we are. Running the second leg for City of Sheffield & Dearne. The plan was to go of as hard as we could and just hang on. Esther did just this running a great leg bringing the team home from 43rd place in to 17th and in doing so was rewarded the 3rd fastest time on leg 2. With the slight difference between the 1st leg we worked out Esther is around 13th fastest time on the day and still has next year in this age group. Well done Esther a few more months should see us ready for the Yorkshire Championships in January.
