Trafford Grand Prix – 23/07/2019

Neve Hardcastle (Longwood Harriers) who was slightly disappointed after her English Schools performance made up for it here with a personal best by over 2 seconds in the 800 metres. A few more races now to finish of the season and then head down for a tough winter. Looking forward to our first winter with Neve and a good cross country season should put her in a good place for a big track season next summer.
Cyane Robinson (Rotherham Harriers) opted for the 800 metres here and ran a good seasons best. A little disappointed as we were looking to get a little closer to the personal best but a few more races left of the season should see Cyane come close to her personal best over 800 and 1500 metres. Cyane then heads of to University in September and will be looking to repeat her great Cross Country season of 2018/2019.
Holly Brewster (Longwood Harriers) coming of that personal best set at the English Schools had another great run here to just miss out on a personal best and run her second ever quickest time over 800 metres. Again like Neve I am really looking forward to having Holly join us for a tough winter and target a good Cross Country Season.
Emily Simpson (City of Sheffield & Dearne) again went in the 800 metres. Another solid performance here from Emily going under 2.10 now for the 5th time. It wasn’t quite what we was looking for but a very consistent season so far. A few more races left before a big winter ahead of us working on the weaknesses (strength and conditioning) and maybe a few indoor races thrown in to see where we are going in to the 2020 summer season.
Well done girls keep working hard.
